Consisting of three exquisitely limited single malt barrel releases, each bottle presents a delicately smoky dram meticulously crafted to awaken the senses. THE INSPIRATION

Our journey to Islay off the coast of Scotland 2016, where we explored every distillery possible, laid the groundwork for this experimental series. It's a tribute to the Scottish pioneers who crafted the rich flavours of whisky using their abundant natural resource: peat bogs.

ABOUT PEAT BOGS

PEATED MALT

The smoke imbues phenols production with ash, iodine, and smoky flavours that are absorbed by the grains. Time (usually about 30 hours) and intensity of exposure to the peat smoke, as well as the characteristics of the peat itself, influence the final aroma.

We imported Crisp heavily peated malt 50ppm to craft the Tainted Love Series.

EX BOURBON CASKS

MATURATION

Our choice is the classic combination in ex-bourbon American oak casks. However, we opted for a second-fill ex-bourbon cask, older in age. This decision ensures the peat and malt flavours shine through, without being overshadowed by the woody American oak.
